Coffee Shops in Cape Town for Bikers

Motorbike Coffee Shops

Drinking and driving is a must on your routes around the city of Cape Town – coffee that is. Any visit to the Mother City is incomplete without a stop at one of these top coffee shops in Cape Town. These are the ones where we love to linger during our travels.

Kalk Bay Kitchen Bar

Awesome views and a relaxed vibe are what you’ll get when you stop off at this trendy Kalk Bay eatery. The coffee is hot and strong, the on-site store stocks the latest threads and the meals are prepared with attention to detail. You can nibble on plump prawns, tuck into a thick burger, or sip slowly on your brew while admiring your surroundings.

Woodstock Moto

There’s a cool sense of community at this DIY workshop, eatery and coffee house. You can learn all you need to know about keeping your bike on the road or just join them for an awesome toasted sarmie and an espresso, cortado, hot chocolate or latte. Just not on Sundays or Mondays, they’re clear about that!

House of Machines

The name gives it away, this City Bowl bar is dedicated to men and their machines. Try their unique blend of espresso, named Evil Twin, made from organic Arabica beans all the way from the Honduras. This place is a biker’s delight with a bike shop nestled in the back and a men-only fashion-outlet. You can nibble on bar snacks with your brew or go for a rib-sticking rye bread sandwich. From Wednesday to Saturday evenings, the venue transforms into a pumping bar, The Prohibition Bar, complete with live music and artisan beers.

The Hub

This Scarborough Diner is the perfect pit-stop on your way around the peninsula. You’ll find all your favourite brews on offer here from Cappuccinos to assorted herbal teas as well as a selection of artisan brews crafted right here in town.

The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming with food to please everyone from carnivores to those with an ultra-healthy veggie lifestyle at heart.

Diesel & Crème

You’ll think you’re lost in time when you stumble upon this Overberg establishment along Route 62. It looks like the place that the year 2000 left behind with vintage Americana décor and an impressive collection of period-appropriate cars, petrol pumps and bikes displayed outside.

While this diner joint is most famous for enormous gourmet milkshakes, you’ll find a range of coffees to please your palate too.  Get your caffeine-hit or go decaf in these swoon-worthy mountainside surroundings.
